Dr. Richard Boatright D.C.

When Dr. Richard Boatright discovered that his wife was a type II diabetic, he also found out that he was pre-diabetic himself. Soon after, it became evident that many healthcare professionals have a very hazy understanding of the important differences between type I and type II diabetes. He felt it important to fully research the subject to more clearly define these differences and present his findings in a way that people everywhere could understand.

Dr. Boatright has been a practicing doctor of chiropractic since 1988. Some of the results of his personal research into musculo-skeletal conditions and corrections was published even before his graduation and was subsequently taught to doctors world-wide in relicensing seminars. He taught for a year at Life Chiropractic College West in San Loranzo, California and as a seminar instructor with Activtor Methods, Inc. from 1988 through 1995. A portion of his practice has always been in the field of nutrition.

He has written news articles on health subjects since 1991, published his own newsletter since 1994, written booklets for patients and chiropractors for patient education and has had some of his articles published in nationally circulated magazines. He also teaches classes on health and on type II diabetes in his office on a regular basis. "Surviving Type II Diabetes (In Spite of the Experts' Advice)" is his first, full-length book.
